About The Artist

Jane Flowers:  I studied art at school and sold my first painting when I was a teenager. I am a South African who lived for eight years in New Zealand where I studied media, business and art as well as working a normal day job. In New Zealand I was becoming a recognised emerging artist and became exhibited in galleries and commissioned to do some work, mainly land and citi-scapes. I recently returned to South Africa from Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia where I worked on contract to the mineral exploration sector . I am now living near Witbank in Mpumulanga where I do art and rare book scouting full time. I do some clay sculpting through the Africa Yarona Studio in Bapsfontein. I was very fortunate to spend 6 months at art classes given by Theo Pieterse in Zambia
